Automatically deliver approved collection claims to citizens' Island.is digital mailboxes — for municipalities, government agencies, and law firms.
Collection Claims Connector
The Island.is Connector for Wise Collection Claims automatically delivers approved collection claims to citizens’ and companies’ digital mailboxes on Island.is — near-instant delivery instead of postal mail, with a complete audit trail.
Important: This connector is designed for municipalities, government agencies, and law firms using Wise Collection Claims. It is not intended for general business-to-consumer collections.
How it works
- A collection claim is approved in Wise Collection Claims
- The connector validates the claim and checks whether the customer is excluded
- The claim is added to the transmission queue
- The job queue processes the queue on schedule (every 15–30 minutes)
- A PDF is generated from the configured report template
- The document is stored in your secure storage and delivered via CentaraIQ to Island.is
- The citizen or company receives a notification in their Pósthólf
Claims are processed in batches — one failed claim does not block others.
Transmission queue
The Send Claims to Island.is page shows all queued claims:

- Blank Send Date = pending
- Send Date with no error = delivered
- Send Date with error = failed, will retry
Per-customer opt-out
On the Customer Card → Wise Collection tab, check Exclude from Island.is to prevent automatic queuing for that customer. Use this for:
- Customers with invalid or missing kennitala
- Legal cases requiring postal delivery
- Test or demo records
Excluded customers can still be sent to manually.
Manual send & resend
- Resend a failed claim: Navigate to Send Claims to Island.is → find the entry → Actions → Resend Claim
- Send immediately: Open the claim in Wise Collection Claims → Actions → Send to Island.is Now
Setup
1. Prerequisites
- Centara Base installed and configured (Centara Setup → Web Service URL, certificates)
- Wise Collection Claims 25.0.0.0 or later
2. Install the connector
Extension Management → install Island.is Connector for Wise Collection Claim
3. Enable sending
Wise Collection Setup:
- Send Claims to Island.is = Yes
- Island.is Report ID =
50030(or your custom report)
4. Configure the job queue
- Job Queue Entries → New
- Object Type = Codeunit, Object ID =
50030 - Description =
Send Claims to Island.is - Schedule = every 15–30 minutes
- Status = Ready
5. Review customers
Check Exclude from Island.is on customer cards where digital delivery should be skipped.
6. Test
- Create and approve a test claim
- Check Send Claims to Island.is for the queue entry
- Wait for the job queue (or trigger manually)
- Verify in Centara Messages that the message was processed
Limitations
- Iceland only
- Only approved claims are sent
- Debtor kennitala must be a valid 10-digit number
- Persistent failures require manual intervention
