Sales & Receivables Setup

Centara eMessaging extends the standard Sales & Receivables Setup page in Business Central with settings that control how outbound e-invoices are built and sent, and how inbound electronic orders are received and processed.

To open it, search for Sales & Receivables Setup in Business Central and scroll to the Centara sections.

eInvoicing Settings

These settings appear within the existing eInvoicing Settings tab on the standard Sales & Receivables Setup page.

Enable eInvoice WorkflowMaster switch for the eInvoice/PEPPOL workflow. Must be enabled for any outbound or inbound PEPPOL processing to function.
Display more fieldsWhen enabled, additional columns are shown on the Inbound Document Lines page — useful for complex setups that need more detail visible at a glance.
Update all Inbound Document LinesWhen enabled, Inbound Document Lines are automatically re-evaluated and updated whenever Posting Setup changes are made.
EndpointID for Peppol DocumentsDefines which identifier is used as the PEPPOL endpoint ID. Options: (blank), Registration No.
Use Registration Number as Customer No.When enabled, the AccountSupplierParty element in the PEPPOL XML is set from the Customer No. field. Requires a manually configured No. Series.
Use eInvoice Description on InvoiceWhen enabled, the eInvoice Description field is used as the invoice description instead of the default.
Split Invoice Lines by Lot NumberWhen enabled, invoice lines in the outbound XML are split per lot number tracked on the shipment.

Centara Sales Documents

Configuration for outbound sales document behaviour — invoices and credit memos.

Auto-Populate Your ReferenceWhen enabled, the Your Reference field on new sales documents is automatically populated with the sales document number.
Always Update DimensionsWhen enabled, dimension values on sales document lines are always overwritten with dimensions from the document header.
Note FieldSelects which document field is mapped to the Note element in the eInvoice XML. Options: (blank), Customer No., Your Reference, External Document No., Responsibility Center, Reason Code, Work Description, Shortcut Dimension 1 Code, Shortcut Dimension 2 Code.
Replace Resource No.When set, the Resource No. on lines is replaced with the configured value before sending. Options: (blank), Work.
Advanced Peppol ValidationWhen enabled, uses Centara’s own advanced PEPPOL validation instead of Microsoft’s standard validation before submission. Also enables per-currency bank account selection rather than always using Company Information bank details.
Information from Bill-To CustomerWhen enabled, buyer party information in the eInvoice is taken from the Bill-To Customer card rather than the bill-to fields on the sales document itself.
Accounting Cost FieldSelects which document field is mapped to the AccountingCost element in the eInvoice XML. Options: (blank), Customer No., Your Reference, External Document No., Responsibility Center, Reason Code, Work Description, Shortcut Dimension 1 Code, Shortcut Dimension 2 Code.
Add Order No. toSelects which field the Sales Order number is written into on the eInvoice. Options: External Document No., Your Reference.
Don’t send zero amount DocumentsWhen enabled, documents with a total amount of 0 are blocked from being sent to Centara.
Use Unit of Measure from Item ReferencesWhen enabled, the Unit of Measure is sourced from the Item Reference record rather than the sales line when building Incoming Document Lines.
Decimal Places for QuantityControls the number of decimal places used for quantity values in outbound eInvoice XML. Options: 2 (default), 3, 4, 5.

Centara Sales Orders

Configuration for inbound electronic orders processed into BC Sales Orders.

FieldDescription
Variance AmountMaximum allowed monetary difference between the incoming e-document total and the resulting Sales Order total before automatic posting is blocked.
Use Sell-to Address from Purchase OrderWhen enabled, the sell-to address on the created Sales Order is taken from the originating Purchase Order rather than from the Customer card.
Convert to Base Unit of MeasureWhen enabled, Inbound Document Lines are converted to the item’s Base Unit of Measure before creating the Sales Order lines.
Use Unit of Measure MappingWhen enabled, a Unit of Measure Mapping table is used to translate UoM codes from the incoming document into the corresponding BC UoM codes.
Auto Process Order to Sales OrderWhen enabled, inbound e-documents are automatically processed and converted into Sales Orders without manual intervention.
Auto Post Sales OrderWhen enabled, Sales Orders created from inbound e-documents are automatically posted.
Always Auto PostBy default, auto-posting only occurs when the e-document total matches the Sales Order total. When this is enabled, auto-posting proceeds even when the totals differ.
Send Order UpdatesWhen enabled, a status update is sent to Centara when a Sales Order is created and again when it is released.
FullfillmentControls when fulfillment notifications are sent to Centara. Only editable when Send Order Updates is enabled. Options: None, On Release, On Posting, Both Release and Posting.
Show PDF FactboxWhen enabled, a PDF preview FactBox is shown on the Sales Order page.
Show Sales Order TilesWhen enabled, the Centara Document Cue only shows Sales Order tiles, hiding other document type tiles.
Show Ship-to Name ColumnWhen enabled, a Ship-to Name column is displayed on the Inbound e-Documents list page.

Centara Compare

Configuration for comparing eInvoice order data against BC Sales Document lines.

Show Unit Price from eInvoice OrderWhen enabled, the unit price from the incoming eInvoice order is shown as an additional column on Sales Document lines for comparison.
Show Line Amount from eInvoice OrderWhen enabled, the line amount from the incoming eInvoice order is shown as an additional column on Sales Document lines for comparison.

Quick PEPPOL

Found under Centara > Quick PEPPOL on the Sales & Receivables Setup page.

Prompts for confirmation, then ensures the Enable eInvoice Workflow flag is turned on. This is a convenience action for initial setup, avoiding the need to locate the field manually.
