Installation

eMessaging is distributed through Microsoft AppSource and installs directly into your Business Central Online environment. The installation deploys all five modules (eDocuments, Approvals, Attachments, Accounting, Common) as a single extension package.

Prerequisites

  • Business Central Online (SaaS) — version 27.x or later
  • Microsoft E-Document Framework — installed and enabled (included with BC 27.x)
  • A user with admin permissions to install extensions
  • A Centara account (provided during onboarding — contact Centara sales if you do not have one)

Install from AppSource

  1. Open Business Central.
  2. Go to Extension Management (search for it in the top search bar).
  3. Select Marketplace to open AppSource.
  4. Search for Centara eMessaging.
  5. Select Get it now and follow the prompts.
  6. Accept the terms and choose the environment to install into.

The installation typically completes within a few minutes. Business Central will notify you when the extension is ready.

Post-installation verification

After installation, verify that eMessaging is properly deployed:

  1. Search for Extension Management in Business Central.
  2. Confirm that Centara eMessaging appears in the list with status Installed.
  3. Search for Centara Setup — the page should open without errors.
  4. Search for Centara Document Inbox — the page should open without errors.

Next steps

After installation, run the Setup Wizard to configure your connection, credentials, and basic settings.
