Centara acquires it´s business partner Wise


We are very pleased to announce that Centara has acquired its partner Wise Lausnir ehf., the largest sales and service company of Microsoft Dynamics NAV in Iceland.  Wise employs 75 highly skilled and experienced developers and consultants and had a turnover of USD 12,5 million in 2018. The company was previously owned by AKVA Group in Norway.  The shareholders in Centara remains to be employees and Varda Capital ehf. which financed the transaction.

Wise is one of the leading international developer of software solutions for seafood businesses and has an expertise that is recognized worldwide in the WiseFish brand, with a network of partners and customers around the globe.

Centara and Wise partnership extends few years back and the companies share offices in Reykjavik, Iceland. The companies also share many customers, specifically in the municipalities sector were Wise has a strong market share.  Besides developing own solutions Wise provides Microsoft Dynamics NAV, enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution to its customers.  Among Wise customers are many of the largest companies in Iceland, in technology, manufacturing, retail, wholesale and distribution.

Wise is a Microsoft Gold Partner ISV and has received numerous awards for being a leading partner in its field from Microsoft. Among other solutions of Wise are Analyzer business intelligent solutions, financial solutions for municipalities and many other localized solutions for the Icelandic ERP market.

With Wise and Centara product portfolio we strengthen our product and service portfolio tremendously and see a great opportunity to service our customers better with Centara Retail on both the Microsoft and Acumatica ERP platforms.

Welcome GardabaerOne of the largest municipalities of Iceland “Gardabær” has taken up Centara for their sport centers, swimming pools, libraries and more. Gardabaer now joins almost all of the largest municipalities of Iceland using Centara, including Reykjavik the capital city of Iceland.

Gardabaer is a town with a population of around 15,000, close the capital. The local authority in Gardabaer provides a high level of services for residents of all ages in pleasant, tidy surroundings.

Gardabaer uses Centara´s ERP connector and input system to integrated with their current financial and accounting system.  Items, inventory, staff, tender types and other data, flows seamlessly between the two systems resulting in less errors and more efficiency for employees of the municipality.

Acumatica Certification

Centara has now been formally certified with its Centara to Acumatica connector, integrating seamlessly both solutions adding vertical business functionality for retail, hospitality and e-commerce.

This brings the cooperation between both solutions to a higher level of excellence, enabling a true omni channel experience for medium sized and large companies.

As a dedicated Independent Software Vendor (ISV) for Acumatica, Centara will participate in the Acumatica World Summit taking place in Houston on January 27 – February 1, 2019.



Acumatica is a cloud-based enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution that offers a platform designed for midsize customers with a complete, real-time view across the business.

The Acumatica suite of integrated business management applications includes multi-company accounting and financial management, distribution, manufacturing planning and control, time and expense, project accounting, construction, services, retail, e-commerce and customer relationship management (CRM).

All capabilities are fully integrated, built using standard Microsoft tools and have self-service reporting, document management and approval workflows. Users can customize their workspace and dashboards.
